BIOGRAPHY

Humane (fka Humane The Moon) is an East London five-piece founded by Max Hanley. Since its beginnings as a solo endeavor, Humane has evolved into a quintet over the course of two self-released EPs and an ever-growing portfolio of explosive live performances across the UK.

Humane’s short tenure to date has seen the group join Radio Free Alice for a relentless run of shows in 2025 and take to the stage at both Green Man Festival and SXSW Sydney while picking up radio support at BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 alike. The coming months will see the band once again join Radio Free Alice along with a string of dates supporting Sex Mask.

Their upcoming music marks the start of a darker, more expansive turn for the band: a fresh beginning for an outfit with big plans for the year ahead. The Line of Best Fit dubbed Humane “Delightfully angsty and reflective” while Wonderland called them “A rising star in the UK’s vibrant music scene… Humane has developed a resonant sound that gracefully blends his signature grit with alternative-grunge influences.” Fans can keep an eye out for more music and shows very soon.
