BIOGRAPHY

Girl Tones, of planet Earth, are a high-energy rock duo brought to life by two sisters named Kenzie and Laila. Both classically trained musicians, Kenzie transitioned from cello to guitar and Laila from piano to drums in an effort to electrify sentient beings from this galaxy to the next. Their debut releases including "Fade Away," “Again” and “I Know You Know” were produced by Brad Shultz of Cage The Elephant and released via his label Parallel Vision. 

Their first offerings have earned the praise of PAPER, NME, DORK and many others with The Luna Collective describing this as “no polished debut; it’s an unapologetic, distorted blast of fury that establishes Girl Tones as a force to be reckoned with.”In their short but mighty existence, the duo has toured with Cage The Elephant in the US and Europe, as well as supporting The Velveteers and hey, nothing. Nashville.com said “Girl Tones are quickly moving from a regional favorite to a force to be reckoned with on a national scene” with many people likening the duo's performance style to that of The White Stripes. The coming months will see more music, tour dates alongside Silversun Pickups, and Girl Tones’ festival debut at Shaky Knees and Lollapalooza.
