Devon Thompson

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Los Angeles early this century, Devon Thompson comments that her earliest memory was punching through a pane of glass, just to see if she could. This type of delusion was just the beginning of her life of fantasy. Growing up a pale, emaciated misfit, Devon found her home listening to music. By the age of 19, Devon had been playing Los Angeles clubs with her bands for many seasons. She has truly found her lane, writing about fair maidens and the ether. Her recordings are thus far lingering with the shimmering haze of The Smiths, The Sundays, and Mazzy Star, while also having the edge of The Smashing Pumpkins, Paramore, and Fontaines D.C. Combining elements of Shoegaze and Indie Rock, Devon describes her music as “Whimsigoth” and “Sparkle Music.”
